Devilish Baby Thanos

 So I have yet again taken a Skottie Young image and tried my best to transfer it into a stencil.  I can't help it.  They are all just so damn cute.  I have a five picture spread of the different layers being put down.  The camera work is pretty crap but it should do the job. 

I started with a basic splatter background because I was unsure how it was going to look.  I feel like it's always a good default.  I added the black and blue. 

 The yellow was a tricky layer.  There were so many thin pieces that it was tough to keep the lines crisp.  So it ended up blurring more than I really wanted but the overall color was good.

Then I added the purple for his face which just left me with his eyes and the different colors for the soul gems in his gauntlet.  All in all I don't feel too bad about it but there is still some work until this is done.  I have to add a border and some more detail work.  I shall be sure to post it again when I'm all done.  Hope ya enjoy and as always questions are always welcome.  That is if anyone actually reads this blog.  Baby Thanos is now off to rule the muppet babies.  

Update 3/20

We will have a table at the Half Price Books: Outlet store in Bloomington, IN for one day on April 6th. We're shooting to get there in the early afternoon.

We will also have a table on April 19th at the Half Price Books in Greenwood, IN. Our table will be set up around 9pm for record store night.

Avengers Remembrance Stencils

 So I have been working stencils based on the Avengers movie.  They are still pretty crude but I hope to refine them and eventually make one for each Avenger.  I would any feedback.

Quick Update 3/9/13

Some small things are bubbling under the surface. We added a couple more pieces to the Etsy page, constantly keeping that up to date. Located on the shop page above. And keep an eye on the gallery too. We're always dumping images there. And lastly, if you have an idea, commision or request, don't hesitate to contact us. We are always open to suggestions.

We're working on getting some stuff out there this spring/summer. Possibly later this month. Stay tuned. Updates are coming.

Ol' Baby Deadpool!

 So I decided to take another Skottie Young piece and see how it would transfer to a stencil.  This time I tried to take some pictures as I was spraying out the different layers.  The camera lost it's charge so there are few missing but it goes something like this.

So this is the finished product on a vinyl record.  I used basic background to test how the image would look.  If anyone has any questions or comments I would love to hear them.

After some trial and error, I've fine tuned my Bill Murray portrait. Now, time to start an inventory production for, the eventual Etsy post.

Skottie Frackin Young!

So Brian and I both love the art of comic book artist Skottie Young.  He has done a good deal of work but the thing we both are currently enjoying is his work for Marvel where he is making all them characters babies!  It's great!  This Galactus is a reproduction of a piece he did. 

Moving along, I was bored the other night and decided to do another Young piece.  I started work on a Deadpool he did.  I am excited to get a camera to soon take some pictures and show the layer work.  The stencil will be 6 total layers and around 8'x11'.  I shall keep anyone who cares updated!
